The Pipeline Integrity Institute was developed in partnership with the pipeline sector, including industry, provincial and federal government, and professional associations. These partners help define educational and technical needs, participate in applied research, and contribute to the classroom learning by giving guest lectureships, and provide training opportunities through intern / co-op positions.

The benefits to partnering with the Institute are numerous. We provide partners with access to highly qualified engineers, training for employees, collaboration opportunities, new knowledge and resources, specialized testing and laboratory facilities, impartial technical engineering perspectives, and the Annual Partners Meeting.

In addition, the partnership model means that each partner’s investment is significantly multiplied by the other partner investment contributions. The contributions that are allocated to applied research initiatives have an added benefit of being applicable to SR&ED tax credit and opportunity to apply for matching NSERC CRD. When all taken into account each industry dollar results in $15 to $45 in research and graduate training.
