Short Course, POSTPONED to Spring 2024:
Pipeline Integrity Institute, within the Faculty of Applied Science at the University of British Columbia, is excited to host a three-day short course on Pipeline Integrity Management Systems and Hydrogen Pipeline Integrity. In collaboration with Rosen’s The Competence Club, the short course is facilitated by well-known experts and lecturers in this field, Arti Bhatia and Neil Gallon.

- These courses are especially suitable for pipeline engineers or managers looking to enhance their wider understanding of integrity management concepts and the implications of the new emerging fuel pipelines.

Day 1: Introduction to Pipeline Integrity Management and Integrity Management Systems by Arti Bhatia

Aimed at engineers and practitioners who are involved with pipeline integrity management system framework. The course covers pipeline integrity management planning, threats risk assessment & mitigation, repair & intervention, codes & standards.
Day 2 – 3: Hydrogen Pipeline Integrity by Neil Gallon
New date: Spring 2024 (8:30am – 4:30pm PST)
Aimed at practicing professionals who are involved with pipeline integrity management. The course covers the role of hydrogen in the energy transition, differences between hydrogen & natural gas pipelines, conversion of existing pipelines, effects of hydrogen on pipeline materials, defect assessment and integrity management of hydrogen pipelines.
